Sharanyaa’s regimented initiation into Carnatic music at a tender age of six was under the able guidance of Smt. Hemalatha (AIR Artist) of Coimbatore, who laid a strong foundation in the basics of rendering carnatic music. Subsequently, Sharanyaa had the opportunity of undergoing rigorous training in Dikshitar kritis under Smt.Mythili Jaganathan (Guruguha Gaana Vidyalaya School, Calcutta).
Gaining deeper insight into the richness and beauty of classical singing from Prof. Mysore Nagamani Srinath and honing her laya skills from Sri. Tirumale Srinivas, Sharanyaa took to the path of pursuing her music seriously and added substantively to her repertoire while successfully completing her Masters’ Degree in Carnatic Music with distinction from Jain University, Bangalore. Currently she is under the guidance of Smt. Vid. Shankari Krishnan, a torchbearer of the Lalgudi tradition and Sri Tirumale Srinivas (a multifaceted musician, composer and percussionist).
